:- 5.0 out of 5 stars from Anne Overstreet -- The book every goddess (mom) needs to read RIGHT NOW! : (Picture above is how happy this book makes me) Gina crafted a new, inventive, and much needed view of being a mom by reading this book. It only took me reading a couple of pages until I grabbed my pink highlighter to underline all her nuggets of wisdom. This mom has literally been to hell and back and lived to tell about it. I can relate to this book on so many levels: as a mom, business owner who is overwhelmed and overworked, a wife and mom who is worried about her very family's survival. I needed this message to know how to push on in spite of multiple challenges. Gina's book is asking us to be more by doing less and being more of ourselves. I think that she is paving the way for moms to let go of perfection and to be more compassionate towards themselves. Not only that, it's very easy to read and flows easily. As a mom to 2, a foster mom to 26 teenagers over the years, and now a grandmom to 4, I can say that I wish I had this book when I was raising my kids. I would have made a lot fewer mistakes. Gina's vulnerability and honesty were refreshing. I made a list of all the moms I want to send this book to because I know this short read will encourage them to enjoy being their own person AND thrive as a mom at the same time.
